If I could rate them a 0 I would! Terrible service. Dealing with these people is horrible!They are careless morons that do not want to listen to what you have to say. I've been over paying for months even though they said it would be lowered to where it should be. If you don't pay they come after you, if you pay too much, they don't care as long as they're getting your money
Called this number to say we’ve been getting court papers for someone who doesn’t live here. It’s been going on for over a year and a half and I said I have put return to sender on them and specifying that this person doesn’t live here. She said well just keep doing it. I asked her if they keep getting returned will you stop sending them and she said no. I said then instead of wasting my time I’ll put them in my fireplace. She said well I hope they keep you warm. No wonder Detroit is so in the dumps, nothing like what I’m use to in Wisconsin, they don’t care here, they are there simply to answer the phone and make you wait 82 minutes. She was rude and could care less, I feel so sorry for people who have to go through Friend of the Court in Detroit because they don’t care about you or your case, but they sure love that paycheck I bet, corrupt is all I can say.
First and foremost the only positive was the amicable articulate lady working the payment counter. When I first arrived I was greeted by an angry glaring apathetic security guard, the same guard that let a loud putrid patron obnoxiously shout about paying for a deceased child, and then yelling for me to hurry up and stop asking questions to the clerk who was taking my payment. The clerks were typical obese and mopey pouty county government employees. College students, recent college grads and immigrants should get preferences in hiring practices as they tend to be more level headed, mature and articulate.
Been doing this for 2 years going to this court house. I can never get ahold of someone to get documents i need even when i call the court room and when i do get ahold of someone to get the documents they are the wrong ones. The judge laughed in my face trying to pronounce my name the instant i make a joke I'm about to be hauled off to jail. I showed proof my ex abuses medical prescription drugs it doesn't matter drug test he will be sober for that after that boom he will be back using and i can't protect the child. I about passed out in fear from the judge she scares the living daylights out of me. i know they are not there to be your friend but to threaten somone with jail every time you walk in there. Dad has been absent over 2 years and I'm the one jumping through hoops for him setting everything up for him cause the judge ordered me too. I moved and since we are so far into this court thing i can't change courts. If i could I'd put 0 stars no one should be this terrified almost mental abuse being told to shut up being asked if your stupid. The fear there is unreal.
Worst place of business I've ever had to come in contact with. The part that truly terrifies me is thinking this so called "friend of the court" is in some way connected to a court that could take my money and/or my freedom. I help make my children so I will always work hard and sacrifice for my children the love I have will live on after me, however going though these hops for basic information or to just speak to someone is ridiculous. 88 mins, just to find out my they are keeping my money in there state and not giving the other states information about my case after sending requests for over 8 months. There is something fishy going on, and I truly believe there should be an outside investigating in to these matters and those like this. I'm in another state and have to take days off to wait on the phone all day. I think im being punished and mistreated because I get to Detroit. And if this is what Detroit reflection looks like i may never come back again. Thanks for reading, please help me get something anything done.
